Annual NHVCA Meeting

To All Coaches:

This is a friendly reminder that our NHVCA annual meeting will be taking place on Saturday August 17th  @ NHTI (New Hampshire Technical Institute).  The address is  31 College Dr, Concord, NH 03301. The meeting will be held in the Sweeney Auditorium S-122, which according to the map is in the same building as the gymnasium

Registration will begin at 8:30 am and the meeting will start promptly at 9:00am.   Rick Forge will be presenting our Rules & Review session and if you are a new varsity coach to NH, you will need to be in attendance for this presentation per the NHIAA.

Each round will be a 20 minute time limit – 5 minutes between matches

Team Academic and Community Service Awards will be presented

*All state athlete award winners are admitted free of charge


Annual Meeting

Attention all Coaches:

The annual coaches meeting will be held at Exeter High School on Saturday, August 12 from 9:00-11:00AM.  Registration will begin at 8:30AM.  As always, Rick Forge from the NHVOA will hold the rules interpretation at 10:00AM.  There are no major rules changes this season.  The Membership Form can found here with instructions on where to send it or you can fill it out in advance and bring it with you to the meeting along with the fee for dues (please note there are late fees if not submitted on time).

We are excited to officially announce details and information about our 2017 MGVCA Coaching Clinic!

It is with great pleasure we introduce Mark Rosen of the University of Michigan as this year’s lead clinician.

Mark Rosen of the University of Michigan has a resume that speaks for itself.  Rosen is the President –Elect of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).  Rosen’s 17th season at the helm of the Michigan proved victorious, as his program knocked off No. 4 Penn State, No. 14 Ohio State and No. 18 Illinois en route to the 15th NCAA Selection in program history.   Rosen coached Michigan’s five AVCA All-Americans and all nine of the Wolverines’ AVCA All-Region honorees. He has had 14 honorees on All-Big Ten squads, one Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, one Mideast Region Freshman of the Year and 30 student-athletes earning 57 Academic All-Big Ten honors.   For a complete Bio on Mark Rosen, please visit our website:

  • CLINIC DATE/ PLACE:   Saturday March 11, 2017 at MILTON HIGH SCHOOL’S COPELAND FIELD HOUSE (25 Gile Road, Milton Ma.)
  • CLINIC COST:   $135.00 (includes MGVCA membership for the year) NOTE: If you are getting an email alert to renew your membership, please feel free to do so now while registering for the clinic.
  • CLINIC TIME:   8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with registration beginning PROMPTLY at 7:45 AM.  As always a light breakfast will be provided and lunch will be served.  Vendors will be on site and raffles will be given away throughout the day!!  AE SPORTS & MIZUNO has once again teamed up to raffle off two sets of uniforms as the top prizes for the first 75 coaches who register for the clinic.

  • CLUB DIRECTORS/COACHES:  Again this year, we invite club coaches to send as many coaches to our clinic as you see fit for the set price of $1,000.00.  This special offer pays for itself if you have at least 8 coaches in your club who want to take advantage of our clinic as it also includes membership for a year.  With this price, you will also be able to place an ad in our clinic book.
  • MULTIPLE HS COACHES:  For those who want to register multiple high school coaches from the same school we have a great opportunity for you as well.  Register your entire staff for a discounted price of $300! 
  • EARLY BIRD SPECIAL:  Deadline to register for the early bird special (chance to be entered into raffle for Mizuno uniforms is February 22nd)

Town Hall Meeting Announcement

The Executive Committee has called for a special Town Hall Meeting of the Membership to discuss the methods used for All State Voting.  The President of the NHVCA, David Starin sent the following information for posting:  

We will hold a town hall style meeting on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM to discuss revisions to the All-State voting process. The location of this February meeting will be determined based on attendance. It is open to all paid members and their sub varsity coaches. Please RSVP if you are attending. The board will order sandwiches and provide bottled water.”
